Malu Blázquez leads the Center for a New Economy’s ReImagina Puerto Rico initiative, which works towards the swift recovery and coordinated reconstruction of Puerto Rico.
Malu was part of the Puerto Rico Senate Technical Advisory Committee that assisted the Senate in 2018 in developing the new energy public policy and regulatory framework for the Puerto Rico Energy Transformation process, which resulted in Senate Bill 1121 of 2018. She is also a member of the Southern States Energy Board Blue Ribbon Task Force that is strategizing an electric energy policy and regulatory framework for Puerto Rico.
Malu has over 23 years of experience and knowledge in operations management, program and project management, and process and performance improvement. She has a B.S. and an M.S. in Industrial and Management Engineering from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
